Before we began working with Miss Athena, we weren't sure what the best way was to support Edric on his learning journey. He would often become frustrated or upset during lessons for reasons we couldn't always identify, and it felt like we were stuck in a loop. He also had a hard time communicating his needs or emotions, which led to a lot of tension.

The biggest change came when we started working with a team that provided clear, consistent strategies and tools. The individualized approach really helped. We learned how to better understand Edric's triggers and what might be causing his frustration. The behavioral techniques—like using visual prompts, social stories, and positive reinforcement—were especially helpful. What really made a difference was the guidance on how to support Edric without enabling behaviors that wouldn’t help him in the long term.

There have been more words voiced by Edric, and his frustration levels have decreased. As for us, we feel like we understand him better.

To other parents who might be struggling: It's okay to not have all the answers, and you're not alone. This journey has its ups and downs, but every little step forward is a victory, even if it doesn’t always feel like it at first. Working with someone who truly understands your child and provides you with the right tools can make all the difference.
