Social Stories
Social stories are a powerful tool to help children with autism or learning challenges to see from perspective and predict social situations that usually come with strategies to cope with them. These stories have been scientifically proven to alleviate challenging behaviours and social difficulties.
Our social stories have been carefully designed to depict social settings that children with autism or other learning challenges residing in Singapore and asia to relate and generalise better. When a child is able to generalise the pictures to real life settings, it would increase the effectiveness of the social story.
We strongly believe these social stories will serve your child and family well!
Matching numbers 1-10 to words
Matching numbers to words is important in early learning as it helps to build a foundation for numeracy, reading, vocabulary, and communication skills. Watch the video for tips when working with your child on the folder task!
Shape Sorting
Sorting real object shapes can help children develop their cognitive and problem-solving skills, as well as their ability to identify and classify objects based on their properties. It can also be a great way to encourage creativity and imagination! Our material is specially curated in the context of Singapore hence the pictures selected are what our children would be commonly exposed to. It is also built for special education.
Think before you speak
1. Go through points 1 to 5 (T-H-I-N-K) with your child.
2. Elaborate on each point with as many examples as possible that your child is already familiar with.
3. A key point to emphasize with your child is that, if only the “T-true” component is checked and the rest are not, then they should keep their comments or thoughts to themselves (a.k.a be quiet).
